Blue

A pebble disrupted the picturesque waters under the bright January sun, crystal clear cerulean skies reflecting upon the quiet retreat. sapphires and turquoises laid under the sea; it was the sparkle of midnight that winked like starlight. She saw the galaxies in those eyes, splays of blue she could never know by heart, yet it painted the semblance of her very existence. Tucked away behind the gold of the Stonehenge, the water sparkled its invitation. Cool and calm it glittered its sirens call. It was all rather blue, except it wasn't. It wasn't blue like they penned it, dreary skies and weeping clouds. Blue- like the sun craved to soothe its burning embers. Blue- like the skies would part for a path to heaven.
